The 2025 English Open gets underway on Thursday, with reigning champion Neil Robertson and world champion Zhao Xintong leading a strong lineup of players. The event is the fourth ranking tournament of the 2025/26 snooker season and marks the start of this term’s Home Nations Series.

World No. 1 Judd Trump and Shanghai Masters winner Kyren Wilson are also among the top contenders set to feature. The tournament boasts a total prize fund of £550,400, with the champion receiving £100,000. An additional £150,000 bonus is available for the player who performs best across all four Home Nations events this season.

2025 Draw Structure:
The top 32 seeds enter directly at the Round of 64 stage. The remaining places are determined through preliminary rounds involving lower-ranked players such as Jimmy White, Marco Fu, and Reanne Evans.
