Robertson Set to Defend English Open Title in Star-Studded Brentwood Field

Australia’s Neil Robertson will launch his title defence at the BetVictor English Open, which takes place from September 11 to 21 at the Brentwood Centre in Essex. The world ranking tournament features a star-packed line-up including World No. 1 Judd Trump, World Champion Zhao Xintong, Kyren Wilson, Mark Williams, and local favourites Ali Carter and Stuart Bingham.

Robertson claimed the Steve Davis Trophy last year with a dramatic 9–7 victory over Wu Yize. He will open this year’s campaign against either Sunny Akani, Oliver Brown, or David Lilley.

Tickets are now on sale starting from just £12, with many sessions expected to sell out quickly.

The early rounds run from September 11–14, before the top 32 seeds join the fray on Monday, September 15. The final will be held on Sunday, September 21.

Third-round matches begin on September 15, with Judd Trump, Mark Selby, Shaun Murphy, Mark Allen, Zhao Xintong, and Robertson himself all in action across the first two days.

This tournament is the first of the 2025/26 BetVictor Home Nations Series, with a £150,000 bonus available for the best performer across the four events in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. Robertson secured the bonus last season.
