While Xiao Guodong captured headlines with his Wuhan Open victory, Bai Yulu successfully defended her UK Women’s Snooker Championship title, and Hammad Miah triumphed in the first event of the Q Tour in Stockholm.

Over the weekend, while much of the snooker world focused on Xiao Guodong’s dramatic Wuhan Open win, two other significant tournaments reached their conclusions on the World Women’s Snooker Tour and the Q Tour.
China’s Bai Yulu continued her impressive form by retaining the UK Women’s Snooker Championship title in Leeds. The 22-year-old, who recently won gold at the World Games alongside Xiao, dominated the competition. She topped her group with a perfect record and advanced through the knockout stages, eventually defeating Ng On Yee 4–2 in the final. Bai fired a superb break of 102 along the way, securing her fifth ranking title on the World Women’s Tour.

Meanwhile, the European leg of the Q Tour began in Stockholm, where Hammad Miah made a strong start to the season. The Englishman, recently relegated from the main tour, beat Patrick Whelan 4–2 in the final to claim the first event title and a £6,000 prize. The victory places Miah at the top of the Q Tour Order of Merit, with the season’s highest-ranked player earning a two-year professional tour card.
